Contract Business Development Representative – Custom Software Development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients who require bespoke software solutions.
  • Develop and implement data-driven sales strategies to generate leads and close high-value contracts.
  • Stay current and knowledgeable by monitoring market activities, uncovering emerging industry trends, competitive landscapes, and business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain long-term partnerships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present customized sales pitches, proposals, and contracts that align with client requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure alignment between client needs and proposed software solutions.
  • Negotiate contract terms to optimize value for both the company and the client while ensuring a seamless transition to project execution teams.
  • Track, analyze, and report on sales performance, conversion rates, and market trends to refine sales strategies.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Demonstrated success in business development and sales within the software development or technology sector. The ideal candidate should come to the position with a healthy book of clients and a historical book of business.
  • In-depth knowledge of custom software solutions, SaaS models, and emerging technologies.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and consultative sales skills.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously, set priorities, and meet revenue targets.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market dynamics and inform business strategies.
  • Established network of industry contacts with decision-making authority (preferred).
