Question: I found information about me that is indexed on Salesfolks.com. Why?
Answer: As part of its service, Salesfolks.com indexes information about salespeople. It is not designed to index personal information. However, if you are or have been in the professional field of sales, there is a possibility that the service has indexed information about your prior or current role in the field of sales. Per CCPA, if the information is publicly available, it is not considered personal.
Question: What about CPRA?
Answer: The California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (CPRA), also known as Proposition 24, expanded CCPA. It relates to the usage of "sensitive personal information," which includes precise geolocation, race, ethnicity, religion, genetic data, private communications, sexual orientation, and specified health information of consumers and also has specific protections for children as well. Salesfolks does not purposefully index or collect this type of information and has no plans to do so in the future.
Question: How can I remove information from Salesfolks.com?
Answer: If the data is related to professional/career information that is in the public sphere and can be indexed, Salesfolks, Inc. does not remove or alter that data, although it may be automatically altered, updated or removed at any point based on what information is available upon future indexing. While not required, you do have an option to create and manage a profile on Salesfolks.com. If you feel that Salesfolks has indexed information that qualifies under CCPA, please use the Salesfolks Contact Page link above and send a message with the specific website URL and detailed information about the specific personal information that you feel qualifies under CCPA, as well as a formal request for removal.
