Account Executive
WHO WE ARE First Principles is an AI-first product management consulting, coaching, and education firm. We help companies and their leaders become AI-native, working with serious enterprise clients on hard, interesting problems. We work with founders, CPOs, Chief AI Officers, and exec teams who are trying to figure out what AI actually means for their businesses.
Talent-wise, we're top-notch but still under the radar. Making a real name for ourselves in the market is the next chapter. That’s where you come in.
THE OPPORTUNITY We're hiring one ambitious Account Executive to own sales end to end and help take First Principles from boutique to true scale.
This is not a place where you'll be handed a playbook and a quota. Here, you'll create both. You'll work directly with our founder to shape how we go to market. You’ll also have the kind of upside that makes the math well worth it.
For the right person, this role grows into much more than sales. Sales is the starting point, not the ceiling. For the right candidate, opportunities to stretch into more of a GM-type role may also be on the table.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN You'll own the full sales cycle across the breadth of our offerings: enterprise AI-first product management training programs, AI consulting engagements, and executive coaching. You'll sell to senior leaders, build pipelines from scratch, and help shape pricing, positioning, and go-to-market strategy as we grow.
Day to day, you'll be:
- Sourcing and qualifying new business through outbound prospecting and network activation
- Running consultative, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with CPOs, CEOs, founders, and Heads of Product
- Closing six-figure enterprise engagements
- Partnering with our founder and leadership team to refine offerings and positioning
- Building the sales playbook, CRM hygiene, and reporting we need to scale
- Growing into broader commercial and operational responsibility over time
WHO YOU ARE You've been crushing it in a sales role for 3 to 5 years. You’ve hit your quotas, you’ve been promoted faster than your peers, and you can point to specific numbers you're proud of. You've sold consultative, multi-stakeholder deals to senior leaders and you know how to keep complex sales cycles moving.
You're curious about AI. Maybe you’ve already started using it to do your job more effectively. You don't need to be an expert, but you're hungry to learn and you've been paying attention to how enterprises are adopting it.
You want ownership. The idea of being early at something you can shape sounds exciting, not scary. You're comfortable building a pipeline without a team of SDRs or a big marketing effort behind you. You take ambiguity as a feature, not a bug.
You write well, you carry yourself with executive presence.
