Commission-Based Cannabis Accessories Sales Rep (Remote)

PureTips sells activated charcoal filter tips for health-conscious cannabis and herbal smokers. Our biodegradable, reusable filters remove up to 80% of harmful compounds (tar, benzene, formaldehyde) while preserving 100% of the effect and are backed by peer-reviewed research from leading universities.

This filter technology has been mainstream in Germany and Japan for 20+ years, and we're bringing proven harm reduction innovation to the US market.

We're launching our wholesale distribution channel and looking for experienced sales reps who know the cannabis accessories industry and/or have existing relationships with dispensaries, smoke shops, and head shops.

Role Description:

This is a commission-only, 1099 contractor position (NOT full-time W2 employment) for an Outside Sales Representative. we're open to reps in any state with a strong cannabis accessories market. Ideal candidates have relationships in CA, CO, MI, AZ, MA, NV, OR, or WA.

What You'll Do:

• Pitch and sell PureTips to dispensaries, smoke shops, and head shops in your territory
• Conduct in-person product demos and presentations with samples if needed
• Build and maintain relationships with retail buyers and shop owners
• Identify new business opportunities and expand our retail footprint
• Close wholesale orders and manage ongoing accounts
• Provide feedback on market trends, competitor products, and pricing

Territory:

• Open to reps in California, Colorado, Michigan, Massachusetts, Arizona, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, or other cannabis-friendly states
• Remote/flexible—work your own schedule and territory
• Can rep other non-competing brands

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Proven experience selling to dispensaries, smoke shops, or head shops
• Existing relationships with retail buyers in the cannabis accessories space
• Knowledge of brands like RAW, Blazy Susan, OCB, or similar
• Self-motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within your territory

Ideal Candidate:

• Currently repping other cannabis accessories brands (non-competing)
• Has sold consumables or smoking accessories before (filters, papers, lighters, etc.)
• Comfortable discussing peer-reviewed research and product science with buyers
• Can close deals and manage accounts with minimal hand-holding

College degree
Office work or daily check-ins

Compensation structure:

We're launching wholesale and offering aggressive commission rates to reps who help us establish market presence quickly.

20% Commission - Your First 10 Accounts in 60 days (FOREVER)

15% Commission - All Additional Accounts (FOREVER)

How it works:

The first 10 accounts you open within 60 days = 20% commission for life

Open an account in your first 60 days? You earn 20% on that account forever.
Every reorder from that account = 20% commission in your pocket, permanently.
Hard cap: Only your first 10 accounts earn 20%. This rewards speed and focus on quality accounts.

All additional accounts = 15% commission for life

Accounts 11, 12, 13+ or accounts opened after 60 days earn you 15% commission forever.
No limit on how many 15% accounts you can open.

Examples:

✅ Open 15 accounts in 60 days → First 10 earn 20% forever, last 5 earn 15% forever

✅ Open 10 accounts in 90 days → All accounts opened within 60 days earn 20% forever, the rest 15%

Once you open an account, it's YOURS. Every reorder = commission in your pocket.

What this means per order:

One $750 reorder from a 20% account = $150 in your pocket
One $750 reorder from a 15% account = $112.50 in your pocket

Smoking accessories are CONSUMABLES. We project shops to reorder every 6-8 weeks. Build your book once, earn recurring revenue for years.

Payment terms:

Net 30 days after we receive payment from retailer
Commission paid on collected revenue only
1099 contractor—you cover your own expenses
No base salary. Performance-based only.

Performance bonuses:

First rep to $50k in lifetime sales: $1,000 cash bonus
Quarterly bonuses for reps exceeding territory targets
