In-Home Solar Sales Representative

As an In-Home Solar Sales Representative, you will meet homeowners at pre-qualified appointments to assess their energy needs, explain solar solutions, and close residential solar agreements. You will act as the final point of contact in the sales process, working with homeowners who have already expressed interest in solar.

This is a true closer position. Setters generate the appointments — your responsibility is to run the in-home consultation, handle objections, and close.

Responsibilities

  • Attend pre-set, in-home solar appointments with homeowners
  • Conduct on-site consultations and explain solar system options clearly
  • Present proposals, pricing, and savings in a professional, confident manner
  • Handle objections and guide homeowners to a buying decision
  • Close residential solar contracts accurately and ethically
  • Work with internal teams to ensure smooth handoff after the sale
  • Maintain accurate notes and follow-up as needed

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience closing in-home or high-ticket sales (solar preferred)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Comfortable working commission-only
  • Ability to build trust quickly with homeowners
  • Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
  • Willingness to travel when needed (travel varies by market and demand)

Work Structure

  • Commission-only role (no base pay / no retainer)
  • Appointments are provided
  • Part-time or full-time availability depending on territory needs
  • Home-based with in-field appointments
  • Opportunities to close deals in multiple states as markets open
