Job Title: Part-Time Key Account Sales Contractor – RNASeq Services Employment Type Part-time, Remote, Contractor Compensation Base Pay: $1,500/month (contingent on meeting agreed-upon KPIs)
If KPIs are not met: $50 per qualified call setup
Commission: 6% on all sales revenue generated (uncapped)
About Biostate AI Biostate AI is a biotechnology startup founded by former professors from MIT and Rice University, backed by top-tier investors such as Accel and Matter Venture Partners. We have developed patented RNA library preparation and sequencing technologies that deliver results at less than 20% of the industry cost, with a rapid turnaround time of 1–3 weeks. Our platform is ideal for low-input and challenging specimens such as FFPE samples, making it a great fit for biotech and pharmaceutical clients.
Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic, part-time contractor to help generate qualified client leads for our RNA sequencing (RNASeq) services. This is a results-based sales outreach role focused on setting up introductory calls with potential biotech, pharma and academia customers.
Responsibilities Independently set up qualified introductory sales calls;
Reach out to biotech and pharma companies and academia PIs via LinkedIn, email, or other methods to introduce Biostate AI’s RNASeq services;
Educate prospective clients on the advantages of our technology and pricing model;
Maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up consistently to encourage engagement;
Gather client feedback and share insights with internal teams to refine services.
Requirements Prior experience in B2B sales, business development, or lead generation in biotech, pharma, or scientific services;
Ability to manage outreach campaigns independently and hit call setup targets;
Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills;
Strong time management and self-motivation;
Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM tools, or email outreach platforms is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications Existing contacts within the biotech/pharma industry;
Understanding of NGS/RNASeq or life sciences services;
Previous experience in CRO, scientific instrumentation, or genomic services.
