Seeking a Directory Advertising Sales Representative

ShopLocalAurora.com is a hyperlocal community website featuring local businesses, coupons, and events in and around Aurora, Colorado. Our firm is seeking a high-energy, experienced, passionate, and talented Advertising Sales Representative to join our growing team. The Advertising Sales Representative is responsible for reaching outside our existing pool of advertisers and selling additional advertising space to businesses in the local area. Competitive candidates will have at least 2 years of sales experience, be creative and outgoing, and enjoy being on the phone and talking to small business owners.

As a Sales Rep, you’ll be responsible for generating leads (Google, social media, networking, etc), calling local businesses, making appointments, and selling advertising on ShopLocalAurora.com.

Responsibilities:

• Generating leads
• Networking with local businesses
• Scheduling appointments
• Cold calling
• Meeting or exceeding sales goals
• Preparing weekly and monthly reports

Requirements:

• Experience in sales
• Understanding of the sales process and the importance of following up
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with clients
• Basic computer skills
• Able to work remotely
• Maintain professional composure phone
• Maintain a team-first attitude by achieving related results as needed

Compensation

This is a fully commission-based 1099 contract position. Sales reps will not be required to work a minimum or a maximum number of hours per week and have full control over their schedule. This is a home based, remote office position that can be worked either part-time or full-time.
