I live and breathe sales. I have done cold calling in the real estate investment industry and speaker training industry. Amongst the 2 I have 2 years of experience. In that time I made thousands of calls, had hundreds of telephone conversations which lead to approximately a hundred deals closed. I learned strategies such as establishing immediate rapport and asking proper probing questions for the prospect to open up and continue with the conversation. I used many different CRMs and had a consistent follow up strategy. Recently I have also have 3 years in business development experience at a web3 startup. During this time I traveled to 30+ conferences and cultivated a network of founders, VCs, BD, sales, KOLs, and many other projects and protocols. I would always try to provide value initially by thinking who I can introduce to the prospect. I carry the same mindset in cold calling, how can I provide value before I sell?
I was a health insurance agent with over 250 clients during Obamacare also known as the Affordable Care Act. I had a target market of Chinese business owners. I would call all these owners and told them specifically I help people understand the different health plans and enroll. I had an office, as a result many came during my office hours and in the night after office hours I would personally drive to many of these businesses.
