I cut my teeth in field sales and loved it. I was in my 20s, it was my first sales role, and I was selling beer! I felt the close of my first sale and was hooked. The independence of being outside, visiting happy clients and exploring new business in the city I love... was electric. Since then I haven't looked back. At 18 years old I trained myself to DJ and mix music. In my 20s I monetised this skill and began my own business. On the weekends I was selling my DJ services to clients, whilst still working full time. I'd clock off from the beer life, and clock into the music life. That self employed business has grown 200% since the first year. I closed on ~70 gigs in 2025. There have been investments to improve the business, such as better equipment, and higher fees.
Later, I left the wild and wonderful world of beer and matured enough to dive into tech sales. My speciality was cyber security and I closed £30,000 in my first 6 months. I joined the business when they didn't have a sales structure, the plan was for me to create my own. Awesome! This was then the skeleton of their outreach strategy across the business.
That's my exciting story, but who am I today? I pride myself on relationship building, my persistence, and my meticulous organisational skills. Everything is written down. No prospect is forgotton. As I begin my 30s I've learnt a lot about myself. Such as: I am my most happiest when I am in control of my own destiny. Here I enter, the freelance sales arena.
