Account Executive, Enterprise Technology Services

We sell technology assurance and delivery to enterprises, and we do two things most of our competitors cannot do together. We assess an environment, and then we staff it. A controls assessment becomes a master services agreement, the agreement becomes several concurrent engagements, and the client who trusts us to review their estate will let us put people into it. We hold an enterprise relationship of exactly that shape today, running across several concurrent statements of work. Your job is to find the next three, and to close an existing pipeline of public sector and infrastructure opportunities where the relationships exist but nothing has been qualified.

This is a part-time engagement of roughly 120 hours a month. We expect you to be carrying other work, and the commission is uncapped, so what you earn here is not bounded by the hours.

What we deliver

Assurance. Controls testing and audit readiness, data governance and access review, and systems and register integrity for public bodies.

Delivery. Infrastructure and platform architecture, observability, security engineering, and incident response capability.

Staffing. Contract technology professionals placed into enterprise programmes.

This is not a fixed catalogue. If you can sell adjacent technology work into an account, bring it to us rather than walking past it.

What you will actually do

Hunt new enterprise accounts. Most of your plan comes from here. The pattern to repeat is an assessment that opens a relationship, a master services agreement that formalises it, and several engagements a year after that. Landing is the hard part and the part we are paying for.

Expand what you land. An account that buys an assessment can buy remediation, ongoing assurance, and contract delivery capability. The second and third engagements inside an account cost a fraction of the first to win, and you are paid on each one you close.

Close the existing pipeline. We have identified opportunities across government ministries, statutory authorities, airport and port operators, and externally financed programmes. Principal-level relationships provide the entry point, but these are not handed-over, sales-qualified deals. Establishing the buyer, validating the commercial opportunity, confirming funding and procurement route, and converting what is viable into signed engagements is yours.

Qualify out quickly. An opportunity with a buyer and a need and no budget is not an opportunity. We would rather know in week two than month five.

Run the bid. Scope with delivery, price against a cost model that already exists, assemble the submission, handle clarifications, negotiate terms.

Who this suits

You have closed enterprise technology services. Scoped work with a statement of work, a deliverable schedule and an acceptance process. Not product, not licences.

You have landed new logos, not only grown accounts handed to you.

You are already working independently, or want to, and can run this alongside your other engagements.

You qualify hard and you are comfortable telling your own principal that something is not real.

You can hold a deal together through a budget cycle without losing the buyer.

You write well. A good deal of this is won or lost in documents.

Who this does not suit

Anyone who needs inbound leads, a marketing function or an SDR.

Anyone looking for a single full-time employer.

Anyone whose record is transactional volume. These are a small number of considered purchases with long cycles and named buyers.

Anyone who treats a verbal commitment as a close.

Compensation

On-target earnings in year one: US$104,000. That is a US$4,500 monthly retainer for roughly 120 hours, plus uncapped commission on the assurance, delivery and staffing services described above. Independent contractor (1099), no benefits.

25% of gross margin on consulting and contract staffing engagements you close. Staffing commissions continue for the life of active, billable engagements.

5% of gross spread on qualifying staffing placements into accounts you originate but do not personally close, for the first six months of each placement.

Commissions are paid as client revenue is collected.

On-target earnings of US$104,000 means US$50,000 of commission, which at 25% of gross margin means generating roughly US$200,000 of gross margin across the year. Our cost model is shared before offer, so you can price any deal and see what it earns before you submit it.

Full commission terms are provided before offer.

Process

Three stages. A review of your answers, a conversation about your pipeline discipline, and a working session where we take a live opportunity and you tell us how you would qualify it.

We will ask for two references, one of whom should be a buyer rather than a manager.
